Vista Bank awarded as the Bank of the Year in the M&A segment at Piata Financiara Awards Gala

At the 2021 edition of Piata Financiara Awards Gala, Vista Bank won the Bank of the Year award in the M&A segment for “completing the acquisition of Crédit Agricole Romania, an operation that strengthens the financial institution that also accustomed us in recent years with a healthy organic growth.”

At the awards ceremony, Mr. Georgios Athanasopoulos, CEO of Vista Bank, stated: “The acquisition of Crédit Agricole Romania is an important milestone for Vista Bank and part of our strategy of accelerated and sustainable growth. During the last years, in line with our ambitious plans, we managed organically to double our balance sheet. Being very confident on the market potential, we will continue our positive momentum for organic growth, while also exploring any other future opportunities.”

The Piata Financiară Awards Gala, organized by the Finmedia press trust, has reached its 26th edition this year and is an annual event that analyzes and rewards performances, products, services, institutions and personalities of the Romanian financial and economic environment.
